Naked mole rats are eusocial vertebrates:

• reproductive division of labor: only one queen and a few males breed,
• overlapping generations: different generations are alive at the same time,
• communal care of young.

Nonreproductive workers exhibit altruistic behavior: they forego reproduction and work for the benefit of the colony, presumably due to high within-colony relatedness.
